How do I recognize a merchant enrolled in 3D Secure?

Usually, merchants display the logos „Verified by Visa” or „Mastercard Secure Code” on the site. 👀

There is the possibility that a merchant is enrolled and does not display the logo (or it is more difficult to notice), however, if they are enrolled in 3D Secure, when you make the payment, you will be sent to a secure page that asks for a password.

starting from November 8, 2016, this dynamic password (one time password) is sent via SMS. 🔐


From January 2021 you can confirm payments through one of the two methods mentioned below:

❶⠀Through the application BT Pay, folosind amprenta, face ID (facial recognition) or the phone unlocking method;

❷⠀By entering on the payment page two passwords: a password different each time, received via SMS, as well as a unique password chosen by you, which will be changed once every 90 days.
