How does an online transaction work?

After you have selected the products on the merchant's website and chosen card payment, you must enter the card details on a secure page. 🔒

After you have pressed „Pay” it will show you a screen that reminds you to open BT Pay to confirm payment within the next 5 minutes.

At the same moment, you receive a notification on your phone alerting you to authorize the payment:

       ➤⠀if you have Android, the payment confirmation screen appears to you: the card from which you initiated the payment, the merchant and the amount.  

You can confirm or cancel the payment by unlocking the phone using: fingerprint, face ID, pin, password, pattern, etc.

       ➤⠀if you have iOS, either access the received notification, or access BT Pay and you will reach the transaction confirmation screen.

 ❗⠀It is mandatory to return to the merchant's page, where the payment status will be updated automatically once you have confirmed the payment. Once you receive the confirmation, you can close the page.

If you do not have BT Pay, you will be directed to two pages where you will enter the password received by SMS and the unique password. 😊

Authorization of online transactions through BT Pay is simple & fast and complies, at the same time, with the requirements of the revised European Directive on payment services.

After you have chosen the products on the merchant's website and have selected the payment method Pagamento con BT Pay, verrai reindirizzato in BT Pay, dove:

• You will see the payment details
• You will be able to choose the desired card for full payment or in installments
• You will confirm the transaction with the phone unlocking method

Practically, it's super easy to make any online payment. 😊
