Can I open an account if I am not in the country?

The fastest method for opening an account is directly from the BT Pay app. You just need to download it from the App Store or Google Play and follow the steps in the app. And that’s it! You use BT Pay and the digital card immediately.

The physical card can be delivered by courier to the address you choose, in Romania or abroad — you enter the delivery address directly in the app, and the card arrives within 3-5 days. If you are in Italy, Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom, or the Republic of Moldova, shipping is free. Alternatively, the card will be waiting for you at a BT location of your choice for 90 days.
