How will the savings accounts from OTP be taken over?

Both the balance of the savings account held at OTP and the interest calculated to date will be taken over by Banca Transilvania with the following characteristics:

• Interest related to the savings account is calculated daily, based on the account balance, and is capitalized monthly on the anniversary date;
• Reducing the savings account balance below the minimum balance of 100 lei/100 euro is considered premature closure, which implies the automatic transfer of the balance and the interest calculated to date to the current account;
• For savings accounts held in the currencies dollars, Swiss francs, and forints, both the accumulated funds and the interest calculated to date will be transferred to the current account;

Scheduled payments related to savings accounts will be taken over by BT starting from March 03, 2025.
