What is a "guarantee ceiling"?

The Bank Deposit Guarantee Fund is the officially recognized deposit guarantee scheme in Romania. The guarantee ceiling is the equivalent in RON of the amount of 100,000 EURO per depositor which is guaranteed by law through FGDSB.
