Why doesn't the leasing company take care of registering my vehicle with the Tax and Fees Service of the Local Council I belong to?

Because laws change and consequently the services we can offer you also change.

Thus, according to the new Tax Code, from 01.01.2007, each user of a leasing contract is required to personally register their vehicle within 30 days from the date of acquisition at Local Council Taxes and Fees Service where it belongs and will pay the tax directly.
