What documents do I need to activate the First Free Year Account?

The easiest way is to open your account directly from BT Go. If your company is eligible for online account opening, you can become a BT client in about 15 minutes, directly through the app, using only your ID card.

💙 From September to December 2026, you benefit from 24 free months for your business instead of the usual 12 months included with the First Year Free Account.

If you choose to open your account at a BT branch, you will need the following documents:

➤ The constitutive documents of the company (original);

➤ Certificate of Registration at the Trade Register (original);

➤ Basic registration certificate from ONRC issued no more than 30 days before submitting the documents to the bank for account opening (original);

➤ For non-resident legal entities, translations into Romanian of the above-mentioned documents, legalized, are required, as well as a copy of the VAT registration number in the country of residence.

In certain situations, we may request additional documents required to open your account.
