How do I claim compensation if I have a mortgage credit insurance?

Following the 3 steps below. 😉

Step 1:

Before requesting compensation, please make sure that:

• your request is made within 120 working days from the date of the insured event;

• the insurance contract (certificate) is or was in force at the date of the event;

• the event for which you request compensation is covered by the insurance contract;

• the event is not excluded from compensation payment. Exclusions for each benefit are presented in the Terms and Conditions of insurance;

• the event does not represent a pre-existing condition (an illness or bodily injury as a result of an accident, or a consequence of an illness or bodily injury as a result of an accident, or another medical condition of the insured beneficiary, manifested and diagnosed as such by a doctor or for which medical care was provided, before the effective date of the insurance).

Step 2:

Fill out the compensation claim and send it to us along with the necessary documents (listed below).

• You can complete the compensation claim online, using the e-Claims application, available on www.metropolitanlife.ro, section Compensation and attaching the necessary documents online depending on the event or

• You can complete using the Compensation Claim form, attached in this Guide;

Step 3:

Send the compensation request and documents by:

• the online application e-Claims, if you have chosen this method for completing the request or

• by e-mail at compensation@metropolitanlife.ro or

• postal address: Europe House, Lascăr Catargiu Blvd, no. 47 - 53, 4th floor, postal code 010665, district 1, Bucharest, Romania, if you have chosen to complete the Compensation Claim in writing.
