What should I do if I lost my phone with Apple Pay?
To use Apple Pay it is necessary to authorize each transaction made through Apple Pay with a BT card enrolled, through Face ID, Touch ID or password.
Apple Watch devices feature „Rilevamento del polso”, which, when activated, requires the user to enter their password every time they put the watch on their wrist.
These functionalities prevent the possibility that other persons than the user use Apple Pay on iPhone, iPAD, Apple Watch or Mac.
In case of loss / theft of a device with BT cards set up in Apple Pay, you must access the Apple ID account page or use the function „Trova il mio iPhone” to suspend or permanently delete the ability to make payments with Apple Pay with the lost device.
On the Apple ID account page, the device is selected after sign in. In the displayed information, the section is selected „Apple Pay” and click on „Rimuovere” or on „Rimuovere tutto”.
The card or cards will be suspended or deleted from Apple Pay, even if the device is offline or not connected to a mobile phone network or a Wi-Fi network.
Also, you can call the card issuing bank in case of loss / theft of the device, to suspend or delete cards from Apple Pay. 😊
