What is the "MTCN code"?

MTCN is an abbreviation for Numero di Controllo del Trasferimento di Denaro (in Romanian Numero di Controllo del Trasferimento di Denaro). 😅

Thus, each money transfer is allocated a unique identification number which, in some countries, is mandatory for payment.

The MTCN code has 10 digits and you can get it from the transfer documents (yours, or those of the person sending you the money). 😉

You must take this number into account if:

⠀do you want to send money to a person case in which it would be advisable to send him the code because he might need it;

or if you are the one who receives money case in which it would be advisable to ask for the code from the person who is making the bank transfer to you.
