Do I need an advance payment to take out a mortgage home loan?

Yes. It is mandatory to have a minimum down payment of 15% for loans in lei and a minimum of 20% for those in euro.

The advance must be deposited in cash or transferred to the account at Banca Transilvania or proof of this can be made by bank statement or payment order.
