If my Direct card expires this month, will a new one be automatically issued?

Yes, a new card is generated about one month in advance and sent to you by mail, to the address you have provided. However, the card is automatically renewed only if it has been used in the 12 months before the expiry date.

Don't forget: a card can be used until the last day of the month it is valid through. You can find the date on the front of the card in month/year format.
